This is an old camisole I've had for several years now (bought in Topshop, but they don't stock them in this style or colour anymore ). The original colour is probably best describable as wine/vampire-wannabe red.

The cami was originally in a pile of things headed for a charity shop, when I gave it another look and realised it would be a shame to waste such an opportunity for messing around with clothing designs...

The design was sketched on, freehand, using chalk pastels (and a lighter colour than the cami), so that it could be easily rubbed off when I changed my mind about certain bits of it. As with all the other "tribal" designs I've done, I started with no real picture of the design in mind beyond the area I wanted to cover, and just merrily doodled my way across that area. Once the design was done it was painted over in black acrylic (my brother recommended this from his previous design experiments) using a rather nice badger-hair brush (also taken from my brother). One ironing-camisole-through-a-pillowcase later, the "new" cami was complete.

If I remember correctly, all the lines do eventually connect together into one big shape; however, additional parts were added at the end which could mean that there are separate bits, and I write this description without having looked at the top or pictures for confirmation, so I'm an idiot.
